How many countries have considered transport in their current climate strategies? Which country plans to support the use of hydrogen to reduce green house gas emissions? What is China doing in terms of transport-related strategies as laid out in their NDC?
The newly launched Tracker of Climate Strategies for Transport can help to answer these questions. The tracker is the results of a comprehensive scanning of transport in current national climate policies. It provides detailed information on transport measures and targets in Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and Long-Term Low Greenhouse Gas Emission Development Strategies (LTS) submitted to the UNFCCC.
The Tracker of Climate Strategies for Transport is equipped with various filtering options that allow for a customised overview of mitigation and adaptation policies and climate targets in a selected country or region. You can further choose between different types of visualisation (world map, bar charts, overview of countries) and easily compare documents. All data is freely available for download. We have further summarised the results of the analysis in a comprehensive overview.
Together with SLOCAT and the UNFCCC, we’ll take a look at the role of transport in NDCs and LTS and present the tracker and its functions in more detail. We invite you to join us in our virtual launch event!
